IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu to chair the Seatrade Awards 2012 judging panel
Seatrade is delighted to announce that the new IMO Secretary-General Koji Sekimizu is chairing the judging panel of the Seatrade Awards 2012. Established in 1989, the Seatrade Awards is one of the most respected and recognised global maritime award schemes. The prestigious scheme rewards those who have demonstrated innovative solutions for safe, efficient and environmentally friendly shipping and is in keeping with the goals and objectives of the International Maritime Organization.
After receiving a large volume of high quality entries this year, the judging panel is now in the process of reviewing all of the entries and will announce a short-list in the next few months.
The winners will be presented with a handcrafted trophy at the Seatrade Awards Ceremony Dinner, to be held on Monday 14 May 2012 in the magnificent setting of the Guildhall, London. Over 350 of the leading ship owners, ship builders, brokers, government bodies, associations and other highly influential people within shipping will unite for an evening of celebration and networking.
